Paneer Tikka Masala
Tips
- You can add any number of vegetables and even replace the bell
peppers with whatever you like.
- If you want, you can replace the paneer with tofu, but add a bit of
soy sauce while frying it.
- Serve with rice and or naan
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup / 30g butter
- 1 pound / 500g paneer, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 2 medium onions, finely chopped
- 1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 medium jalapeno peppers, chopped
- 1 tablespoon ground cashews
- 1 teaspoon garlic paste (or just 1-2 clove of Fresh garlic
crushed)
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste (or just a bit of Fresh ginger grated)
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 2 teaspoon garam masala (or 2 tablespoons of garam masala
paste)
- 1 (16 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 pint / 250ml-500ml half-and-half
- 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
Instructions
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add paneer; cook and stir
until golden, about 5 minutes.
- Add onions, bell pepper, jalapeƱos, ground cashews, garlic paste,
ginger paste, cayenne pepper, cumin, coriander, and garam masala; cook
and stir until well combined and fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Mix tomato sauce, half-and-half, and salt into paneer mixture;
simmer until thickened, about 30 minutes.
